Pacific sprint is a lovely forestry trail suitable for the average runner. The creative trail names first caught my eye; 'huckleberry, 'iron knee' and 'sword fern' to name but a few. It's worth plotting out the route on google maps prior, as there are hundreds of ways you can attack this park, and also a number of ways you could lose your sense of direction.
I followed a 10km loop featured on Vancouver Trails. It's takes a steady round trip of the park taking in many of the more popular routes as well as some quieter ones.
Traffic-wise: being Labor Day I was surprised it was not so crowded, but I guess the vastness of trails makes for better dispersion
I completed the trip on 50 minutes and then had a short road stint back to base camp to finish.
Was my first decent run on Candain soil, now to attack the other parks in Metro Van and then some North Van trails.
Namaste👊
Time to roll the calves
